Joe & Ethel Farr Bursary

Joe & Ethel Farr, founding members of the Orillia Big Brothers Association in 1966 established this fund through their estate, to encourage children in our programs, in their educational pursuits.  Each year, based on recommendations by the child’s teacher and/or principal, a number of our children are rewarded with a certificate.

 CIBC Youthvision Scholarship

Students who are in grade 10 and registered in a mentoring program through Big Brothers Big Sisters can apply for a 4-year scholarship for post-secondary education and summer employment. It includes:

- up to $4000.00 per year for up to 4 years towards tuition

 - a summer interniship through YMCA Canada worth up to $18,000 over the term of the program
